“Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day. Your Commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is ever with me. I have more understanding than all my teachers, for your testimonies are my meditation. I understand more than the aged, for I keep your precepts. I hold back my feet from every evil way, in order to keep your word. I do not turn aside from your rules, for you have taught me. How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey in my mouth! Through your precepts I get understanding; therefore I hate every false way.” Psalm 119:97-104

As 2017 begins, I encourage you to spend more time reading the words of God, which are the words of life. I remember hearing a Bible scholar once say in a lecture at Harding University that his greatest regret was not reading the Bible through every year. I want to challenge everyone this year to read the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelation. I have practiced this for quite a few years. I have gained new insights every time I read it.

On the table in the foyer is a One Year Bible Reading Plan. There are many on the internet, but if you do not have a computer, I encourage you to take one home and begin following the plan. You only need to read about three chapters a day to read the Bible through in one year. God’s word is precious. It will bless your life. It will encourage you, warn you, instruct you, and heal you. It is truth. It is wisdom. Your life will be much richer as a result. Begin Today!
