MEET OUR LEADERSHIP
We currently have two ministers, three elders and 17 deacon/ministry leaders leading our church. Pictures will be coming soon.
Ministers:
I have been the pulpit minister at Spring Road since September 2003, having served previously for almost nine years as the Youth Minister at the Hendersonville (TN) Church of Christ. Prior to my move to Hendersonville, I was the Campus and Youth Minister at my home congregation, the Fishinger and Kenny Church of Christ in Columbus Ohio. I graduated from David Lipscomb University with a Bible degree in Religious Education.
My wife, Jennifer, and I live in Westerville with our three children, Jared, Katy, and Joshua.
Prior to becoming a Christian in 2000, I worked several years doing residential construction work, including 6 years as a self employed General Contractor. My family and I relocated from Northern California to Nashville, Tennessee where I attended the Nashville School of Preaching in 2008 & 2009. God blessed me with a position at the Spring Road congregation in February of 2010.
My biggest blessing by far in this life is my family. My beautiful wife, and best friend Laura, and our two amazing children, Kiley and Gabriel. We are so blessed to serve our Lord Jesus in this local ministry, and we give all the glory for everything to God!!!
Please stop by and worship with us! At Spring Road, we are using God's mighty word to shape and mold today's youth into the leaders of tomorrow, teaching them to..."and whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks through Him to God the Father." (Colossians 3:17)
In addition to serving as the pulpit minister, I became an elder in 2006. My family is made up of my wife, Jennifer and our three children, Jared, Katy, and Joshua.
I believe that the Lordship of Jesus Christ permeates all of life. He truly is our King; He truly is our Master. I believe that His Lordship our thoughts, our speech and our actions. We are called to have the "mind of Christ" (I Corinthians 2:16) and to "think about things above where Christ is seated at the right hand of God" (Colossians 3:1-4). I believe that getting our thinking in line with the thinking of Christ will help us glorify Him in all areas of life. I believe that at baptism we receive God's Spirit, who helps us achieve these goals. I encourage you to enjoy getting to know your Lord, Jesus Christ!"
I have been a member at Spring Road since 1987 and became an elder in 2006. My family is made up of my wife, Angela, and our two daughters, Jazmin and Jade.
I believe that everything we have comes from God and that we are to be excellent stewards of the blessings He provides. We are to become excellent managers of those resources- not only to share them, but to multiply them in order that God's reach can be extended exponentially. God provides the harvest, but we are to work the field so that there is increase, and see to it that there are no spoils.
The members of our body are friendly, warm, and loving people. A smile is what you might recognize when you visit and I am confident you would come to know a great many in a very short time.
I became an elder at Spring Road in 2006 having been a member for several years. My wife, Cara works as the church secretary and we have two daughters, Suzanne and Amberly.
My desire is for all Christians to seek ways to improve their service to God and to hold firm to God's inspired word. One special area of focus for me is working toward improving the quality of life for the elderly and the financially distressed.
