Deaf Ministry: Hearing impaired individuals are able to participate in all worship services and attend a class through the use of trained interpreters.

F.L.O.C.K: Future Leaders of Christ’s Kingdom. This is a children’s bible hour for ages 3-8. The children love this time of singing, learning bible stories and verses, and praying together. Children ages 9 and above meet with Tom Daggett. They are currently studying the Old Testament

Men’s Shelter Meal: On the fourth Tuesday afternoon of the month, meals are prepared at the building and are then taken to downtown Columbus where they are served at the men’s shelter.

Missions: For over 10 years we have organized and conducted a mission trip every summer to Honduras. Physicians, dentists, and nurses join us to provide medical and dental services to the poor in both urban and rural areas of the country. They also receive food, clothing, personal need items, toys, and a Bible. A construction team builds one or two substantial houses during the week long trip. Children are told Bible stories and participate in Bible centered activities while they and their parents wait for medical services. The congregation also provides financial support for mission activities based in Bulgaria and Russia.

Tuesday School: Children 3-5 years old from both the congregation and local community come each Tuesday morning to the church building to learn about Jesus. School is in session from September to May of each year.

Vacation Bible School: VBS is enthusiastically conducted each summer at the church building and is a great time for students from the congregation and community. Our building comes alive with a theme and an excitement about God’s love for us.

Willow Brook Nursing Home: Members from the congregation conduct worship services at Willow Brook on a rotating schedule with other congregations.

Young Adults: The purpose of this ministry is to provide spiritual encouragement and support during years that are filled with a great deal of transition and see young adults grow in their faith. Opportunities are provided for individuals to engage in Bible studies, participate in fellowship activities, and serve others through various projects.

Young at Heart: The Young at Heart ministry reaches out to serve the needs of our senior members. Monthly activities are planned for fellowship, field trips, learning, service, and spiritual growth. In addition, many of the members look after each other by providing transportation and visiting with each other. The most recent service added is a Sunday morning 9:00 Bible study for all adults especially for those who are not able to drive after dark in the evenings. “They shall still bear fruit in old age; they shall be fresh and flourishing.” Psalm 92:14  more »
